About Us
Eden Speech & Language Therapy was established in 2024. We proudly provide person- and family-centered communication support to the Mt Eden community and beyond.
Our motto is "it takes a village". We believe that it takes a team to support development and recovery, and we would be honoured to be part of your team.
In October 2025, the practice will open the doors of its new Mt Eden premises in the Village Complex, next to the iconic Altar Cafe.

Rachel completed her Masters of Speech Pathology at Macquarie University, Sydney, and has worked in both Australia and New Zealand. In her work in the disability sector in Sydney she provided support for adults and children with complex communication and swallowing needs.
After arriving back in New Zealand in 2021, Rachel worked for the Ministry of Education in South Auckland where she has enjoyed working alongside ECE centres, schools, and whānau to support children to achieve their speech, language, and social communication development goals.
She is particularly passionate about providing neurodivergent-affirming services to her clients and advocating for accessible communication practices in education. When not working at her Mt Eden clinic, Rachel can be found spending time with her three children, walking the family dog, Ranger, and producing ceramics in her home pottery studio.
